The Surrey Lions, after a tremendous three wins last week, are now fourth in the Friends Life t20 South Group. This Thursday, July 14, they tackle the Kent Spitfires in a must win encounter for both sides.
The Surrey Lions are looking to force their way into the quarter finals of the FL t20 tournament
Wins against Sussex Sharks at Whitgift, Middlesex Panthers at Lord’s and Hampshire Hawks at the Kia Oval mean that Surrey are one point ahead of Kent with two games left to play. Only the top four advance through to the knock-out stages of the competition.
If nothing else Surrey have been one of the most exciting sides to watch in 2011. Openers Steve Davies and Jason Roy don’t hold back and skipper Rory Hamilton-Brown also knows where the boundary is.
Add to that England bowler Chris Tremlett and leading t20 wicket taker in the world, Dirk Nannes, and the Lions boast one of the most exciting squads on display in 2011.
