WIN! A copy of Sticky Wickets by The Duckworth Lewis Method

Like cricket? Like music? Not sure that the two combine that well? Well look no farther! As follow up to their critically acclaimed Ivor Novello nominated 2009 debut album, The Duckworth Lewis Method are back with Sticky Wickets and we’ve got copies up for grabs.

Sticky Wickets, the new album from The Duckworth Lewis Method

The album is littered with star names throughout, featuring as it does Stephen Fry, David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd, Daniel Radcliffe, Henry Blofeld and Matt Berry.

We’ve had the pleasure of having had a preview of the album and enjoyed it throughout. The album’s title track gets the album off to a great start and it flows brilliantly throughout. Our favourite track is ‘Out in the Middle’. If we were more musically minded we’d compare some of the tracks to other famous bands down the years, but we’re not, so will leave that up to your ear…

We know what we like though and we like this. A lot. It’s a genuinely good album and has kept The Small Faces, Paul Weller and Madness in their CD sleeves the past week in the car; even managed to sneak it unnoticed past the missus who enjoyed it on its musical merit. She hates cricket – that’s high praise indeed!

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of this fantastic album simply include the answer of this simple question about a player committed to song in the album to: competitions@thecricketblog.co.uk

Which country does Shahid Afridi play for?

Easy. E-mail the answer, with your preferred postal address, to us by Friday June 28 and a copy could be working its way to you.

Good luck!
